In the past, I'd backup my work drive at the end of the day to my externals, and any changed files would be replaced on the externals at that point. the more I think about it, I wonder if using Cloud Station Backup makes sense for my needs maybe I'm using the wrong app? I've kept my SSDs for the boot drive and the drives for my virtual instruments, which I'm not backing up to Cloud Station (will use Time Machine for my boot). The only thing I can gather might be causing the slow transfer is the sheer amount of data, that it's individual files, and that it's coming from different drives that are in my MacPro (work files, music files, audio work, etc.). I can’t establish a connection to the NAS but the connection through the browser (Firefox and Internet Explorer) is working properly. However in the office the cloud station isn't syncing. Problem: When I’m connecting the laptop at home to the internet, everything works fine. I’m a proud owner of a Synology DS215j NAS.īasically almost everything works fine, the only worry is the Cloud Station (file sharing service that works kind of like Dropbox) on my office PC. It seems that I have to modify the network connection for a local Synology NAS client (Cloud Station) for getting it work. ![]()
